chasing the phantom bus
just exited the mrt station and saw a couple of ladies running. using me telepathy ability, i could sense that they were chasing after a bus that was leaving the interchange.
thinking that it could be my bus, i, unconventionally, sprinted too.
time out.
you see, i could only take two buses to my place and the interval for these two services could take from 15 mins to 25 fuckin' mins. its damn long! it should be like 10 to 15 max.
furthermore, the distance between the boarding place is fuckin' far. perhaps i will show the map of the location next time.
back to where i was:
it was almost 2300hrs. i simply could not take that chance of missing the bus.
alas, my telepathy ability failed me.
when i reached the interchange (which was just underneath the mrt station), my bus havent arrive and the two ladies proceeded to queue* up in another bus lane which, incidentally, also have NOT arrive.
WTF? why were they running? exercise? are we chasing a phantom bus?
i believe the pressure of missing the bus is too high. people, including yours truly, are starting to do crazy things.
I have written a number of emails to TIBS complaining about my old feeder service waiting time before. i am thinking of writing to SBS this time round. maybe i should start some sort of petition.
i am not saying complaining is the most effective but at certain level it works. and, also, isnt that what singaporeans do best?
as long as we dont keep the public transport companies in check, they can continue to play mind games with commuters. we will all be chasing the phantom bus.
