Style Wars
_ Style Wars documented the graffiti and hip hop movement that took over and changed the urban landscape of New York City in the seventies and early eighties. Some called it art, some called it out of control and the authorities just wanted to eradicate it forever.

2006 World Cup Got No Lions
_ This blog is officially a persistently non World Cup blog. This is not so dissimilar to the MrBrown/MrMiyagi's persistently non political podcasts, except instead of politics, this blog will not blog anything World Cup. Not even the marketing aspect. Why? Must I remind you that 2006 World Cup Got No Lions?
_ Today marked the second week without mahjong.
_ Ten days from today will be start of school. At long last, this debacle has ended.
_ Check out these ads (via PR Blog)for an US automobile company. Its totally irrelevent and hilarious. Plus, the star of the ads is a chimpanzee. Who doesn't love a monkey?
_ Buff Monster's all about street art and they have links galore too. I have been looking for sites like this one for a long time now. So, if you like graffiti as much as I do, be sure to pay them a visit.
_ Ain't It Cool News have the teaser poster of Transformers The Movie. Also at AICN is an article on Terry Gillian and his soon to be released film, Tideland. He directed the highly acclaimed scifi, 12 Monkeys. Hmmm.. Monkeys again.
_ As usual I was hanging around YouTube and was viewing some MTV Movie Awards clips when I came across Gnarls Barkley's - no relations to Charles Barkley since it is a two man band - performance of their hit song Crazy. Hip hop with a hint of gospel music. Go download... oops I mean: Go buy the album.
_ Lastly, if time permits, feel free to check out what I digg and what I think is del.icio.us. Thank you and good night.

Flixster
_ It is like Friendster or MySpace but connects people utilising their love and taste of films. Review movies or DVDs and compare your opinions and ratings with your friends.
_ In a marketing point of view, this is an ingenius way to sell movies and DVDs through the word-of-mouth method. From what I know, a lot of advertisers and marketing execs are still figuring out ways to make use of the these networking portals to sell their products. I guess these are the baby steps they are able to take.

虚拟的爱 UPDATED June 12
_ Currently, there is an exhibition on contempory visual communications, called 虚拟的爱 or Friction@Love, at the Singapore Art Museum (SAM). Featuring mostly artists from China, Japan, Korea, USA and Singapore.
_ Details:
Singapore : 12 May 2006 to 2 July 2006 at the Singapore Art Museum
In this era where the boundary between fantasy and reality blurs, Fiction@Love seeks to explore the concerns related to the satire and fantasy of love through contemporary artistic expressions.
_ For me, this exhibition gave me a chance to see one of Chiho Aoshima's work, called Mujina, finally. Somemore, it only cost three bucks to enter SAM.
_ On another note, I hate it when those

Updated: I thought I had my facts right when I went over to Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai(MOCA)'s website to check if they were the ones who came up with the name Friction@Love. It turns out that the name didn't come up in the Chinese version which I was looking at. However, it was in the English version.
My sincere apologies to the people @ SAM.
Farts: Pepsi Gold
Pepsi or Pepiss?
_ When I am thirsty, the immediate thing I look for in a beverage is its artifical colouring. It has to look like the piss you micturate when you had too much sweet coffee. Golden yellow. And I know I hit the jackpot when I saw the Pepsi Gold Edition!
_ Seriously, I purchased one and consumed it. It looks exactly like urine and yet taste like cola. Amazing.

_ Here is the theme:
The theme is “SUMI”.
The objective is not to design something that is placed in the middle of the room, but towards the edges, not at the centre and not directly around the centre; you should look for somewhere that evades the eye, send us an object designed for that place, and name it as you wish.
We are not asking for any particular genre, it could be anything from furniture, stationery and office equipment, to everyday items.
